Separation and Divorce

I’ve been where you are and experienced everything you’re going through right now. In fact, that’s the reason I became a coach.

I believe that anyone going through a divorce or separation needs a helping hand to get them through. Let me help you.

My story

Going through my divorce was, and still is, one of the hardest things I’ve ever done. I understand all the feelings you’re experiencing: the panic, anxiety, guilt, overwhelm and wondering if you’ll learn to smile and laugh again without a weight holding you down.

Now I’m a divorced mother of two, but more than that – I’m me again. Yes, it’s been tough, but my life is happier and healthier than it was 6 years ago. And yours can be too.

How it started

My divorce started fairly amicably. There was no ‘if’s and ‘buts’ for us. We decided to separate and while it was incredibly emotional, it went as well as it could have.

It was later that things began to unravel. Cross words were spoken and I started to feel like I was losing control of the situation. Eventually I was dealing with a partner I didn’t recognise anymore. ‘How did we get here?’. I had no idea how to effectively resolve the situation while staying calm and in control.

Small things began to feel hard. It was a struggle to manage the weight of the divorce and handle day-to-day life.

What I really needed was practical advice to show me how to distance myself from the messy emotions and focus on moving forward. Someone to show me to how to put into words what I needed for me and my children without getting side-tracked with anger, sadness and confusion.

No separation is easy, but some are more difficult than others. And mine was certainly tough.

You deserve a helping hand

After going through my divorce I believe no one should ever have to go through a separation alone. It’s a complex and highly emotional process and we all need help. Not just from your loving friends and family, but from someone who can see through the emotional haze and replace it with sound decisions and clear thinking.

You know the list of the most stressful things that will ever happen in your life?

Well, this trumps them all. Think of all the people you employ to buy a house – estate agents, lawyers, mortgage brokers. Yet you’re expected to figure out a separation, break-up or divorce on your own? It’s crazy. This is your future happiness at stake and it’s definitely a time to reach out for help.

Learn to see through emotional haze and replace it with sound decisions and clear thinking.

That’s why I’m here

After my divorce all I wanted was help others get through the sticky, hot mess of separation and show them life can be good again. I’m now an accredited Separation and Divorce coach and guiding clients through their own separation journey to a better life.

I’ve got the life experience to share your emotions and the practical tools to show you how to move forward with your life. And trust me, your new life will be amazing, even if you don’t feel quite ready for it yet.

High conflict, low drama

I’ve got a wealth of experience and support for anyone going through a high conflict divorce. I’ve dealt with the courts systems and understand the challenges of organising finance and child arrangements. I won’t lie, it’s hard. If you’re going through a difficult divorce particularly involving children, situations such as manipulation, threatening behaviour or excessive control I can help.
